ある書道家のもとで龍の話を聞いた翌朝、夜明け前の海へ向かった。

撮影の最中、ふと背後に気配を感じ振り返ると、龍のような弧を描く一筋の波が現れていた。
とっさに捉えた、偶然と必然が交差する一枚。

書道家が言うには「龍はその人の使命を伝える時に現れる」と話していた様に記憶している。


本作は、2025年11月イタリア・ボローニャで開催された Little Treasures 展に招待、発表したスペシャルエディション。

紙は、人間国宝・九代目 岩野市兵衛 氏による手漉きの越前和紙を使用。
プリンティングディレクションは、徳川印刷・松平光弘 氏による。

Eternity

The morning after hearing a story about a dragon from a calligrapher, I went to the sea before dawn.

While photographing, I suddenly sensed a presence behind me. When I turned around, a single wave appeared, tracing an arc like a dragon.
I captured it instinctively—a moment where chance and inevitability intersect.

As I recall, the calligrapher said, “A dragon appears when it is time to convey a person’s mission.”


This work is a special edition presented at the Little Treasures exhibition, held in Bologna, Italy, in November 2025.

Printed on handmade Echizen washi by Living National Treasure Ichibei Iwano IX.
Printing direction by Mitsuhiro Matsudaira, Tokugawa Printing.
